Design pictures can contain up to 12 pictures. UKIPO only conducts a 2-week formal review of design patent applications. If there are any defects, the applicant must reply to UKIPO's review comments within 2 months. Design applications can be patented after overcoming the defects.

• Annuity: pay year by year from the third year from the application date, and the payment deadline for the annual fee is the end of the month corresponding to the application date. If the annual fee is overdue, it can be paid within a grace period of 6 months, and a late fee of 20.00 Euros should be paid at the same time.

The BPO conducts formal and substantive examinations of invention patent applications. The BPO will complete the formality examination within 1 month from the filing date, and then the BPO will verify the Certified Priority Document and its related fees, and will conduct a preliminary substantive examination and unity examination of the patent application within 3 months after the end of the preliminary examination. A patent application that has paid the search fee and publication fee is published within 18 months from the filing date/priority date, and the opposition period is 3 months from the publication date. Search reports, written opinions on patentability and third-party opinions will be conveyed to the applicant no later than 6 months after the expiration of the 3-month opposition period. Can be authorized.

• Grant fee: The applicant should pay the granted fee within 2 months after receiving the notification of granted decision, and pay the annual fee for the first to fifth years at the same time.
• Annuity: Subsequent payment of annual fee every 5 years, overdue payment can be made within the grace period after 6 months, but a penalty must be paid at the same time.

A 12-month novelty grace period is available if:

• Disclosure of designs at exhibitions held or recognized by Taiwan authorities

• Disclosure of Disclosures Without the Applicant's Consent

  The design application shall be submitted to TIPO within 6 months after the above disclosure and the corresponding evidence shall be submitted.

DGIP conducts formality examination and substantive examination of invention patent applications. The applicant should submit a request for substantive examination within 36 months from the filing date/priority date.

In Hungary, the following disclosures provide for a novelty grace period of 12 months:
- Disclosures resulting from abuse related to the applicant or his legal predecessors;
- the disclosure was made by the applicant, his predecessor or a third party (if the information was provided by the applicant or his predecessor).

Furthermore, if the design is disclosed to a third party under conditions of confidentiality, the disclosure will be disregarded.
